So I recently ran across this graphic and while I don’t totally relate to this breakdown of a “typical workday” of a freelance designer, I do agree with the message.

I really started working for myself with in the last year or so and this chart is a great explanation as to why. I can actually WORK for most of the day, attend meetings when needed, and have creative freedom with my clients. While I have been taking more time for business based activities the past few months, accounting being the new dragon to tackle, it is all in the mind set to build a strong foundation for my businesses success for years to come.
I love being able to work from home but that does not mean I am just at home all day. Most of my days start before and average “work day” and end well after the sun has gone down. Some days I get to sleep in, enjoy breakfast, and relax with my dogs. Typically those days include catching up on all of the house work that has fallen through the cracks as well.
Just a short post this week but I just really wanted to share this graphic.
